Majoritarian: Income Tax
An annual tax levied by the government, Federal, State and some Local governments, on individuals, businesses or corporations income and net profit.
Believe it is the civic and moral duty of citizens to pay taxes. Many conservatives also think that people who don’t pay income taxes are the source of economic trials.
Prefer a government regulated economy which leans toward their approval of income tax.

Interest Group: Immigration
On a basic level immigration is the introduction of new into a population. In terms of the United States it usually refers to the illegal entering of Mexican citizens into America. The controversy arises over the rights those individuals should or shouldn't be granted.
Only support legal immigration. They feel that the borders should be secured before the problem of immigrants already in the country are dealt with. Don't feel that those who enter the United States illegally should have the same rights as those who are here by legal means.
Support legal immigration and believe in an amnesty policy. They believe that undocumented immigrants have certain rights. For instance: educational and health benefits, and other rights much like American citizens.
States Influenced by Immigration (ex. California)
Unemployment or the unemployment level is the amount of people currently unemployed, for various reasons, in the United States. The opposing sides have differing views on how to curb the unemployment rate and what benefits those unemployed should receive.
Believe in providing immediate tax relief and generating job growth. They also believe in increasing the amount of profits small businesses retain. Their plans also include making unemployment benefits tax free.
Believe in unemployment benefits and providing some forms of amnesty.
Entrepreneurial: Minimum Wage
Minimum wage is a both Federally and State created and sets a minimum amount of money that a company can pay its employees. Some states choose to increase the Federal minimum wage and the debate is over whether or not minimum wage should be increased.
Believe in minimum wage and its importance but are not necessarily for raising it. They fear the effects it may have on small businesses who would be significantly effected and may be unable to pay the minimum wage.
Think that minimum wage should be increased because it will promote growth in the economy and in businesses.
